Fire Erupts in the Shaftway Between 210 and 212 Lafayette Street

At roughly 8:45 pm tonight, a fire erupted on the fifth floor of the building shaft between 210 and 212 Lafayette Street. Cafe Select is located on the ground floor, and we’re told that customers were immediately evacuated after pedestrians alerted the business.

The fire reportedly burned for about thirty minutes before it was finally deemed extinguished. No word yet on any injuries. If you have more info or photos to share, hit up the tipline.
