MTV is adapting the RL Stine novel into a TV series
MTV is adapting the R.L. Stine adult-oriented novel Eye Candy into a new series, and the pilot is currently shooting scenes in locations across the city. Later today, film crews will park themselves in the vicinity of Allen and Stanton Streets.
The new thriller stars 20-year-old actress/singer Victoria Justice in the lead role of Lindy, a tech nut who joins online dating with dire consequences.
Here’s a brief synopsis of the story in case the book isn’t still on your shelf…
[Eye Candy is] a cyber-thriller based on the book from the Goosebumps’ creator. Justice will play Lindy, a tech genius who, convinced by her roommate to begin online dating, begins to suspect that one of her mysterious suitors may be a deadly cyber stalker. When her friends at the elusive cyber-police uncover a potential serial killer in Manhattan, all signs point to one of Lindy’s dates. Teaming with a band of hackers, Lindy works to solve the murders while unleashing her own style of justice on the streets of New York City.”
Eye Candy will also be filming tomorrow crosstown in TriBeCa.
