Ludlow St.

Batten down the hatches, folks, as SantaCon is mere days from happening. Four, to be exact. And the LES Dwellers are already on the streets pushing the message of opposition. Rather blunt “AntiCon” flyers (seen above) now dot the Hell Square streetscape, and contain three slogans:

Alcohol-soaked father Christmas-themed flash mob not welcome here.
Take your body fluids and public intoxication elsewhere (and off this island, preferably)
We do not apologize for any inconvenience

The grassroots action arrives nearly a week after the Daily News revealed that the show will go on as planned in the East Village and Lower East Side. That the drunkenness will begin near Tompkins Square Park, head down to the LES, and over to Brooklyn. Organizers of the annual clusterfuck are reportedly working with the authorities.

How will you survive SantaCon? Let us know in the comments.
