Misrahi Realty is moving from its longtime Rivington St. home

Ubiquitous (and hated) local realtor Misrahi Realty is moving from its longtime Hell Square perch. Yesterday afternoon, we happened upon movers transferring boxes of files from 88 Rivington Street, the building Sion Misrahi purchased in 1979. (The real estate office was opened in the early nineties) Signs taped to the entrance announce the new location as 134 Allen Street, which is just around the corner. Note that the new space is relegated to the second floor, an apparent downsizing for the operation.

On that note, the move certainly frees up some healthy real estate for the taking. Hopefully the replacement here benefits neighbors in the immediate vicinity, and not just another nightlife venue.

Our requests for comment from the Misrahi folks were not returned.
