Having just opened Nitecap beneath Schapiro’s, Death & Company brass David Kaplan and Alex Day are now gunning to open another sub-level cocktail bar just down the block at 151 Rivington Street. And they’re apparently bringing along some additional nightlife muscle. Application materials submitted to Community Board 3 reveal that Cedd Moses and Eric Needleman (from LA’s 213 Ventures) are also involved in the venture. This isn’t the first time these crews have collaborated; they joined forces to create Honeycut in Los Angeles.

Plans call for thirteen tables and one long bar. Operating hours would be 5pm – 4am all days.

Obviously news of this new application likely spells the end for 151, which underwent a makeover a couple years ago.

Here is the sample cocktail menu.
