Gallery Bar, the future home of Max Fish?

Rumors abounded this month around reports that Max Fish wasn’t in fact done with the Lower East Side. Despite having closed last summer and plans for a possible location in Williamsburg.

The talk was apparently true.

Judging by the item listed on the recently-released SLA agenda for Community Board 3, it would appear that 120 Orchard Street is the lucky spot under consideration. “Ulli Bar Corp.” is on the April docket for the old Gallery Bar space, which owes some $244k in unpaid rent. (Ulli Rimkus is the owner of Max Fish) This applicant is the third in recent months to vie for the bar.

UPDATE: a real estate source with knowledge of the deal further confirmed the news.
