A noodles joint is replacing Spur Tree on Orchard St.

With Spur Tree uprooted, a new restaurant is already making a go of it at 76 Orchard Street. Various sources reported, and a worker onsite confirmed, that a new Ramen joint is slated to open in the coming weeks. Peering through the window, we already see the transformed bar space coming together. No word yet on the name, or the team behind the endeavor.

According to the State Liquor Authority, the restaurant wine license is still under the ownership of Spur Tree. We suspect this address will soon appear before Community Board 3 for serving privileges.

And the half-desk affixed to the entrance remains. For now.

After 76 Orchard was seized, the seven-year-old Spur Tree, for its part, claimed that it would reopen elsewhere in the neighborhood. We’ll keep you posted on that front.
