More Details Emerge on the Max Fish Reboot at 120 Orchard Street

Perhaps knowing that the deck might stack against them at this point, team Max Fish is absolute business with regard to its proposed reboot at 120 Orchard Street. It has to be. Hell Square is a proverbial liquor license minefield to navigate. The application packet submitted to Community Board 3 painstakingly details the plans and method of operation for the Lower East Side relic. Maps, prior press, floor plans, and menus are included. Yes, menus.

In its second incarnation, Max Fish has access to a kitchen, and will therefore serve up cheap bar snacks – Chaeschuechli swiss cheese tart ($1.50), Chili ($5), and rather hilariously, hardboiled eggs ($1).

Floor plans shows two levels for drinking, with much of the seating (tables and cushions) in the cellar. Live performances are also part of the business plan, but limited to once a week and “never turned over to promoters.” 4am closing times sought for all days.
