Home Goods ‘Coming Soon’ to 37 Orchard Street

When the facade of floor-to-ceiling glass was installed a few months ago, the knee-jerk reaction was that of another gallery in the Orchard Street stable of showrooms. But the spat of changes at number 37, the former home of a real estate office for Alan Tam, is for something very different. It’s for a new a high-end home goods store called “Coming Soon.”

A rectangular neon namesake was placed in the windows last week officially announcing its arrival; wood siding was simultaneously installed. We are told that the boutique shop will open this weekend, though which day is still uncertain. Definitely by Sunday.
