Crif Dogs Eyeing New Outpost on MacDougal Street

Around this time last year, we learned that East Village stalwart Crif Dogs wanted to park its Batman-esque truck on the site of Billy’s Antiques. While many were receptive (nay, excited) to the idea, Community Board 2 ultimately killed any chance of it happening. But that apparently did little to deter their intention to expand westward.
Crif Dogs does indeed have a bun in the oven.
According to the CB2 agenda for the month of May, Crif Dogs is looking to open a Greenwich Village outpost in the northernmost store at 120 Macdougal Street. This retail unit was previously home to a likeminded business based on hot dogs – Dogmatic. The space is dark and ready for a new occupant.
