Ariel’s Tapas Lounge is a few hours from debut. Even though the Chico-branded plywood fell away earlier this month, it took the interim to finalize matters inside. Having replaced Pinalito City, the newcomer reportedly carries with it the same proprietor pedigree, though you probably won’t recognize the space.

That down-home Latin restaurant feel of its two predecessors has completely disappeared. In its place is an exterior that exudes club, what with its exterior of lacquered metallic finish and marble-top bars. We’ll see how this latest venture pans out.

The arrival of Ariel’s Tapas Lounge marks the second business change at this address within a four-year time frame. Recall that this had been the Clinton Restaurant until 2010.
