Bargain Electronic Liquidation Happening Now on Grand Street

This store at Grand and Eldridge is hilarious. Not since the departure of the produce market two years ago has a permanent tenant come forward. In the meantime, the second temporary store is here. It’s a so-called warehouse for “Electronics Liquidation,” complete with enough handwritten hype signage to remind you of old-school New York.
The bare-bones establishment at 291 Grand Street is stocked with deeply discounted electronics and plenty of trash on the floor. When we stopped in yesterday evening, there were plenty of patrons milling about. We are told that the liquidators have three weeks left on the lease.
