The Black Scale flagship boutique at 296 Elizabeth Street is reportedly moving to the Bowery. More precisely, to the embattled eastern fringe of Prince Street, which has seen its fair share of retail turnover the last couple years.
We are told the Black Scale streetwear brand will soon re-launch inside the old Seasonal Whispers store at 4 Prince Street.
San Franciscans Michael “Mega” Yabut and Alfred De Tagle kickstarted Black Scale clothing in 2007 with a focus on streetwear “that highlighted dark satanic imagery” in its clothing. A New York city location eventually followed three years later at 296 Elizabeth Street.
Black Scale is now a worldwide operation that has a foothold in the urban centers of both coasts … and Tokyo.
