Judd Apatow’s ‘Trainwreck’ is Filming on Grand Street Today

Judd Apatow productions are no stranger to denizens of the Lower East Side. Girls certainly occupies a fair share of neighborhood real estate each year for filming purposes. Later today, though, Apatow will be near the corner of Allen and Grand Streets to direct scenes for his latest feature film, Trainwreck.

Trainwreck was actually written by foul-mouthed comedienne Amy Schumer, who stars as a woman working at a men’s magazine. Bill Hader plays the love interest.

There is an ensemble cast involved that includes Tilda Swinton, Bill Hader, Brie Larson, Colin Quinn, Barkhad Abdi, Mike Birbiglia, Jon Glaser, Vanessa Bayer, John Cena, Ezra Miller, LeBron James, and Method Man.

It’ll hit theaters July 24, 2015.
