Looks Like Little Muenster is Closing Its Grilled Cheese Spot on Stanton Street

While one grilled cheese joint begins business on Allen Street, another is sunsetting. Little Muenster is seemingly in the twilight of its tenure at 100 Stanton Street. Melted fortune, if you will. That much is clear by Misrahi’s tombstone signage sitting above the entryway.
We reached out to the Little Muenster and received the following statement:
On August 2nd, after almost three years of grilled cheese madness at 100 Stanton Street, we’ll be closing our LES location of Little Muenster. With our Hudson Eats and DUMBO locations going strong and the launching of our new brand Little Nica’, we’ll focus our attention on those shops. We look forward to continuing to provide New Yorkers with Super Fancy Grilled Cheese for years to come
Little Muenster – a double entendre evoking the fifties television sitcom – first opened here in November 2011. The eatery was popular out of the gate. It’s a comfortable spot for a grilled cheese, but veers toward the expensive.
