Photo: Paste MagazineThe Ramones can finally reunite. In heaven. For the great gig in the sky. The last founding member of the punk pioneers – drummer Tommy Ramone (aka Thomas Erdélyi) – died over the weekend at 65. He had been battling the good fight against bile duct cancer for a number of years.

As Spin points out, Tommy passed away a month after Ramones confidante and artistic director Arturo Vega. They were the same age.

There are tons of obituaries out there, so rather than rehash, let’s instead have a look at the band bio that he drafted for the fledgling foursome in 1975. Right before they hit big. Best line – “The Ramones all originate from Forest Hills and kids who grew up there either became musicians, degenerates, or dentists.”
