CBGB Music & Film Festival Set For October

Countless music fans collected in Times Square at the 2013 CBGB Music & Film Festival.

The third annual CBGB Music & Film Festival will once again rock New York City this fall.

According to SPIN.com, the five-day event will kick off October 8. While a complete lineup has yet to be announced, fans can bank on hopping around to a select bunch of venues throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, Plus, there will be the CBGB Icon Awards, other fun live music events, movies, art exhibits, comedy shows and much more.

A throng of music patrons collected in Times Square for last year’s installment, which saw the likes of My Morning Jacket, Grizzly Bear, Divine Fits, and more, take to the stage.

And in other CBGB-related news, folks can raise their glasses in honor of Tommy Ramone, who passed away in July, on Saturday, August 16 at Bowery Electric. Festivities get underway at 7:30.
