Fresh off a show at the Krause Gallery last month (“Emerging to Established”), street artist ME is back on the local beat with a comical new collaboration. He joined forces with the ubiquitous Clint Mario for an ad takeover campaign (remember Katsu?). We spotted this fake movie poster on the Bowery earlier this week, shoved into the payphone at Rivington Street. It’s apparently a take on Amelie. It’s worth noting that Katsu hacked this same photobooth three years ago.

Judging by the Clint Mario Instagram page, there are other notable examples in the East Village.

Before this collaboration, ME wheat-pasted this short-lived piece beside the Invader at the old Olympic Restaurant on Delancey.
