Help the Bowery Mission Replenish its Pantry

The Bowery Mission is struggling to keep up with demand, a representative from the organization tells us. Clarion calls rang across social media this week to help the 135-year-old mission replenish its pantry stock. Apparently September has been a record month of aiding the homeless, with a feeding regimen of more than 200 souls a night.
“We normally do not have this many people coming for dinner in September,” the Bowery Mission noted. “And fewer people are dropping off food donations in recent weeks.”
So if you have something extra, bring it by 227 Bowery.
UPDATE: We are still in need of pasta, rice, beans, grains, as well as canned vegetables, sauces, and condiments.
