New Dollar Slice Joint Set to Open at Former Stanton Street Psychic

It just wasn’t in the (tarot) cards for the storefront psychic at 105 Stanton Street. The den of paranormal shuttered this past July after barely two years in business.
Just as the store was cleared of its contents and leasing sign affixed, the windows were papered to prepare for the next tenant. Paperwork was filed with the DOB a month later for the 99-cent pizza parlor you now see. The red-on-white awning went up late last week. Its arrival will certainly rile up the local petitioners who seek a crackdown on the proliferation of these cheap dollar slice joints.
Meanwhile, the so-called “fresh slice” joint enters a crowded Hell Square space. One need only walk two blocks to stumble upon three other pizza options – La Margarita, Stanton Pizza, or Rosario’s.
