Ricky’s Halloween Superstore on Delancey Street is Now Open

Like clockwork, the temporary Halloween stores are sprouting up throughout the city, eager to exchange shitty, one-time-wearable product for dollars. The Lower East Side is obviously no exception. Ricky’s planted two dedicated “superstores” within a few blocks of each other – 250 East Houston and 104 Delancey. The latter opened for business yesterday.
This address was, of course, formerly a Washington Mutual branch that became obsolete when Chase acquired the company five years ago. The storefront remained a derelict mess in recent memory, right through the Urs Fischer sculpture installation hosted by the Gagosian Gallery back in April.
