Orchard Street will soon welcome its second tattoo shop. But with a twist. Three-year-old Grit N Glory carved out space in its enormous store for celebrity tattoo artist Megan Massacre. According to a press release, the star of TLC’s NY Ink will begin her co-located inking operation inside the “rock n roll boutique.”

Megan Massacre noted, “I am joining forces with my girls at Grit N Glory, NYC’s raddest rock N roll clothing boutique! We’re working together to bring you guys some killer clothing and I’m ecstatic to announce that it will be the location of my brand new private tattoo studio!”

Emily Conley and Veronica Cano opened Grit N Glory at 186 Orchard Street in September of 2011. Until the store moved in, this address was a perennial retail vacancy. The latter part of its life has been spent in the shade of the Orchard Hell Building.
