From Cheese to Cheeba: Former Little Muenster on Stanton Street Becomes a Head Shop

One Stanton Street storefront is making the leap from cheese to cheeba.
You’ll recall that local startup Little Muenster melted, having disappeared from the Lower East Side landscape last summer. The cubbyhole space at 100 Stanton Street sat behind a curtain of butcher paper for the intervening months. Until last week.
Its replacement isn’t too surprising, though, given the location. Yup, we’re looking at another bodega/head shop. This one is called Stanton Smoke & Convenience. Employees spent the last few weeks installing the furniture and product, including a window full of bongs and hookahs. At last count, this is the fourth such establishment in the immediate four-block vicinity. And it’s located directly across from the Freshco bodega.
Meanwhile, Little Muenster continues maintain a presence in Battery Park at Hudson Eats.
