Tiny’s Giant Sandwich Shop Vets Opening ‘Cafe Silan’ on East 10th Street

The former manager of Tiny’s Giant Sandwich Shop is now opening up Silan, a coffee shop at 280 East 10th Street. Silan, meaning date syrup in Hebrew, will have house-made pastries baked with this natural sweetener, paired with coffee- and espresso- based drinks. I ran into Nir and Guy the other day who built out the entire place. The plan is to have a beer and wine license as another option for patrons. The cafe is ready to open this week, but still waiting on Con Ed to turn shit on.
