Last week, the creative folks at Centre-fuge unveiled Cycle 16 of its popular public art project on East First Street. Painting concluded just in time for the holidays.
The current artwork on display is somewhat of a visual best-of compilation from the last year. Project organizers Pebbles Russell and Jonathan Neville tapped fourteen of the twenty-two artists who participated during this second year of Centre-fuge to decorate the mid-block trailer.
It’s a feast of the senses. Lots of intricate imagery like animal faces, cartoon characters, and skulls.
As previously reported, artists involved in Cycle 16 include Arbiter, Basil Sema, BK, Foxx Faces, Joshua David McKenney, Lexi Bella, Marthalicia Matarrita, Master Moody Mutz, Michael DeNicola, Miss Zukie, Raquel Echenique, Sest2, Toy as Object and Vernon O’Meally.
Centre-fuge will be back in 2015 for another year of programming. Stay tuned…
