Goa-Taco, the food stall vendor veteran of Smorgasburg Jr. in Brooklyn, is ready to begin serving the Lower East Side. We are told that the pop-up snack bar will open at 77 Delancey Street later tonight. A long table dotted with a half-dozen stools currently occupies much of the shoebox real estate.

The smallish operation specializes in “fusion” tacos that add elements of Indian cuisine. These bites – dubbed “Paratha tacos” – use the namesake, croissant-like flat-bread instead of traditional corn or flour-based tortillas. Sounds similar to what the popular Kati Roll mini-chain is doing around the city.

The temporary eatery will reportedly operate at 77 Delancey for at least a month-and-a-half.

Goa-Taco is owned and run by Chef Duvaldi Marneweck.

Meanwhile, it’s definitely worth noting the faux taxidermy hanging by the door. This address simply can’t escape its infatuation with mounted heads. Remember the elk trophy that fell on a patron of White Slab Palace in 2009?
