More holiday cheer…
For the third year running, a life-size menorah now sits in the Delancey median at Suffolk Street. All the bulbs are currently illuminated ahead of the Jewish holiday of Chanukah, which begins Tuesday at sundown. The Lower East Side chapter of Chabad is responsible for the placement.
To celebrate the “miracle of lights,” Chabad LES is hosting a small soiree by the menorah on Thursday evening at 5:30pm. Swing by to stuff face with latkes, jelly donuts, and Chanukah gelt.
Chabad LES had installed the Chanukah menorah in Ahearn Park (where Grand meets East Broadway) in years past.
