This is how the Creffle crumbles. A slow demise…

The first cracks in the four-month-old cafe, which specialized in the Belgian waffle-French crepe mashup, started appearing just after the new year. That’s when the Creffle quietly closed and a sign appeared in the window of 115 Stanton announcing a “temporary” shutter until February 1.

Longer than that…

Creffle Cafe remains out of commission weeks later. According to the website, though, the closure is because “we are adding more items to our menu and will be REOPEN at a later date to be announced.” Don’t bet on it.

Creffle Cafe debuted in September 2014. What was your take on the Creffle Cafe? Flash in the pan?
