FebruANY? More like FebruFLOODING…
The three-year-old Subway sandwich outpost at 153 Essex Street was felled last week by flooding in the building. Not much is known about the cause of the deluge, but it was enough to ruin business for this franchisee. Perhaps a busted water pipe due to sub-freezing temperatures.
According to a handwritten note on the door, the closure of “your” Subway is only temporary. A week later, however, it’s the same story.
This Subway outpost debuted at 153 Essex in February 2012.
