With Essex Crossing demolition at full tilt, it was only a matter of time before the administrative powers involved with the project held an information session regarding the housing component. Indeed, this particular meeting pertains to affordable housing, and will attempt to explain housing qualification criteria and the application process. It will also shed light on former site tenants and questions related to their eligibility.
As previously reported, Site 2 of Essex Crossing is slated for a glassy 24-story tower that will collectively house the relocated Essex Market, 14-screen Regal movie theater (1,250 seats), a 12,000 square-foot urban farm on the roof of the five-story podium, and 195 residential units (split 50-50 market rate, affordable).
The meeting is tonight at the Grand Street Settlement (80 Pitt Street), 6:30-8pm.
As the HDC flyer states, bring your questions and get prepared.
