Sho’nuff, the NYC cult classic Last Dragon is returning to theaters for limited engagement. Tribeca Cinemas on Varick Street is screening the so-bad-it’s-good Berry Gordy film for one night only to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary. (The anniversary actually happened in March)

As we’ve previously noted, Last Dragon filmed scenes around the Lower East Side, including a shot inside the sorely-missed Schmulka Bernstein’s on Essex Street.

Next Thursday, June 11, at 6:30 p.m., Tribeca Cinemas (located at 54 Varick Street) will host a special 30th anniversary screening of The Last Dragon, in collaboration with Brooklyn-bred culturist Amz Collado. Afterwards, there will be a party at the neighboring The Varick Room, where lucky gents may even get to meet their own Laura Charles, assuming, you know, that they know how use their “paint brush.”
