There’s something hilariously unsettling about watching a muppet mouth “Ooh baby I like it raw,” and there’s no denying that the world could do with some more of Jim Henson’s beloved creations. Herewith, another internet gem. This time starring Dr. Teeth as Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and featuring the rest of the Electric Mayhem ensemble, performing “Shimmy Shimmy Ya.”

The splice job is at the paw of Mylo the Cat, who also gave the world the Muppet version of the Beastie Boys’ track “So What’cha Want?”  And like a true rap video, the two minute tribute includes flashes of bling, a disapproving authority figure (Sam the Eagle) and skin (Miss Piggy). Also of note is the 0:41 minute mark; it looks like Kermit and Fozzie have passed out, while the bearded muppet bounces around to the lyric, “chop that down, pass it all around.” Awesome.

After watching him swagger on the keys, it’s obvious that Dr. Teeth should be the next one tapped for Wu-Tang Clan.
