Ochado Ramen on Orchard Street Closes for the 2nd Time in a Year

Ramen newcomer Ochado at 76 Orchard Street is seemingly on the outs. Yet again. The noodle joint hasn’t been open in two months. The lights are on, but nobody’s home. It’s the second time inside a year that the restaurant closed with little warning, and for an extended hiatus.
Ochado took to Twitter in mid-May to explain that “piping issues” forced them to the sidelines. Even though reopening was promised next day, that doesn’t seem to have happened.
Ochado Ramen bowed at 76 Orchard in June 2014, taking the reins from Spur Tree (now a joint venture with Norman’s Cay next door). It limped along for the last year, and attempted full liquor privileges. The first closure (i.e. sign of demise) was last year when the place shut down rather unexpectedly after three months in business. They returned a couple months later.
We are sorry to say that we will be closed May 13, 2015 due to piping issues. We will be back in business the following day (May 14, 2015)!
