Appealing to the blue-blooded Hamptons crowd, Tory Burch is creating an offshoot dedicated solely to sports. The rollout will include both e-commerce as well as brick-and-mortar.

To that end, the “athleisure” product line will make a big splash this fall with a pop-up shop at its Elizabeth Street store. Just in time to celebrate Fashion Week.

Indeed, a fifteen-foot plywood enclosure arrived outside the former Tory Burch boutique at 257 Elizabeth Street within the last week. Conversion is afoot. The copy announces that this is where “Tory Sport” will hawk its goods.

Meanwhile, a more permanent presence is slated for the Flatiron District later this year.
