Alphabet City was Brooklyn yesterday. For a brief period, at least.
This realistic subway entrance appeared yesterday morning in the abandoned Mobil gas station that will soon sprout new development. Its placement was actually a filming prop for the CBS show Blue Bloods, which often films around the Lower East Side. Naturally. Several readers spotted the faux Nevins Street subway stop.
What’s up, Brooklyn not grungy enough?
Lloyd Goldman’s BLDG Management purchased the property in 2012 for $7 million. They’re constructing a $35.3 million building onsite, with address of 11 Avenue C.
