Os Gemeos x JR Collaboration Spotted on Chrystie Street

Os Gemeos artwork really hasn’t been seen much in these parts since 2009, when twin brothers Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo painted the OG Bowery graffiti wall. Before it was encased in a Pink Floyd-esque white-box wall (said mural is still preserved). The artists are in town this week as part of the LISA Project’s “LoMan Mural Festival,” and are already at work.
The Brazilian painters apparently joined up with French wheat-paster JR to decorate the brick facade of 199 Chrystie Street. We see the trademark characters of Os Gemeos interacting with the architecture, and holding up JR’s token eyeball graphic.
