More on the Fire that Took out a Rutgers Street Laundromat

Shortly after 7am on Wednesday morning, a plume of smoke engulfed Rutgers Street. The laundromat near the corner of Madison Street – Emily’s (Love Beauty) Laundromat – caught fire. A brigade of firefighters arrived almost immediately; gawkers took pictures, some still in pajamas ready to leave if need be. Two hours later, the flames were extinguished.
The fire at 32 Rutgers Street was apparently electrical in nature. Because this went down before the store opened, no injuries were reported. However, the whole business is wiped out.
Furthermore, what’s interesting is that this is reportedly the second fire in four years at this location.
