Essex Crossing Forward Base is Established on Norfolk Street

The forward communications base for Essex Crossing is now up and running on Norfolk Street. As previously reported, the Lower East Side BID “donated” several of its parking spaces in Site 3 so that the developers could maintain offices near all the action. (This parcel is not part of Phase I development.)
The new command center, so to speak, is essentially a collection of four enormous portable trailers. A central staircase marks the main entrance. The units were installed a couple weeks ago, and will remain onsite for the duration of the project. Meaning, at least ten years. Or until construction begins in Site 3.
The more pressing question, however, is how long before vandals tag the shit out of these fresh canvases…
