In case you missed it, time to savor this thin slice of CBGB parody.

As reported, the once-iconic punk club has been reduced to airport fodder. The so-called CBGB LAB restaurant opened at Newark Liberty Airport last week, and is already angering fans on either side of the aisle (i.e. diehards and casual fans alike).

The Lucky Peach blog even went so far as to reinterpret the menu into something that better jibes with the overall CBGB history and lore. It’s a nice little parody that includes some big-ticket choices like the $27 “Raw Power Lunch” to “keep those abs looking like Iggy’s,” or the $15 “Handsome Eggs Benedick Manitoba.” Classic.
