The Ludlow Street iteration of Soho House has been de-cloaked. Scaffolding was fully deposed from the facade of 139 Ludlow last week.

This is your first unobstructed look at the ground floor and rooftop of the new Ludlow House, slated to open later this spring. Though, you wouldn’t think it peering through those windows or even the front door. Seems like there’s still plenty of work in the pipeline.

Top brass is already pushing Ludlow House with private events, such as one hosted on Tuesday evening. Here’s a look at the ground floor.

As previously reported, several venues live within the four-story Ludlow House. There’s Lou’s Kitchen & Bar, a “club bar with open kitchen” that will serve an all-day American Italian menu; the Velvet Room and the Dark Room are clubs within the club that also double for “private screenings”; lastly, the covered rooftop garden is to boast a “vegetarian Asian restaurant.” Of particular note, however, is the fact that no booze is permitted outside on the terrace. That was a stipulation of its liquor license.

Liquor licenses for the aforementioned bars remain pending at the State Liquor Authority. Due to prior local pushback, including the Community Board 3 denial in May 2013, their approval came with a concession from Ludlow House that limits late-night use of the outdoor area – members would be permitted to hang outside the conservatory strictly between the hours of 9am to 6pm, but without drinking. Ownership agreed not to return to SLA to change this for at least a couple years.
