From the outset, the Wise Men was pitched as “New York’s fastest growing neighborhood finally gets its local late-night spot.” Now, three years into its lease on the Bowery, ownership is apparently looking for an exit. The speakeasy-ish bar – founded by photographer Danielle Levitt, S Magazine creative director Christina Chin, and restaurant industry vet Caroleyn Ng – seemingly seeks a buyer to take the torch.

The commercial space housing the bar at 355 Bowery was recently added to the broker pool of available properties. There’s now several real estate listings surfacing on Craigslist. Price for the two-floor, 2,600 square-foot space is $15,000 per month. Plus the requisite key money.
