Last month, local chain Luzzo’s Pizza quietly debuted a new outpost on the Bowery. Not standalone, though. The restaurant now operates a minuscule satellite in the front entrance of newcomer 310 Bowery Bar. A symbiotic relationship.

The setup is a smaller replica of itself. The oven abuts the front window of 310 Bowery Bar, flanked by a prep table and line of shelves with ingredients.

Luzzo’s Pizza is part of a larger restaurant group which boasts five businesses around town – Ovest, Da Mikele, Luzzo’s BK, and Bar Trenta.

310 Bowery Bar – formerly known as Crime Scene – spent a good portion of last summer renovating the premises. It reopened back in September under new ownership. Gansevoort Market co-owner Christopher Reda and Rick Aurigemma together took the dive bar and transformed the space into more of a rustic beer hall with exposed brick and typical incandescent lighting.
