The Year-Round ‘Bowery Market’ Launches Today with 5 Vendors, Including Butcher’s Daughter

That was quick. The Bowery Market – an assemblage of corrugated kiosks inside the former Downtown Auto & Tire at Great Jones Street – is ready for the big time. The open-air marketplace debuts today with five vendors, including Alidoro for sandwiches, the Butcher’s Daughter, Pulqueria Mexican fare, newcomer Sushi on Jones, and Champion Coffee from Greenpoint.
This stall is the third area location for the Butcher’s Daughter, which first arrived on Kenmare Street in 2012.
Noticably absent from the vendor list, however, is Cabalito. The Salvodoran restaurant on Essex Street had launched a crowdfunding campaign to help raise funds for consideration. It didn’t quite work out, though, as the collection pot only netted $230 of $18,000.
The Bowery Market is open daily, year-round, from 8am to 9pm. Booze is not in the picture at the moment, but don’t rule it out…
