It must be the first Tuesday in August, as the annual National Night Out Against Crime is happening. The annual event, a community awareness initiative sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, aims to garner and promote “police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.”
This year’s 7th Precinct outing is headquartered on the East Broadway drag from Clinton to Rutgers Streets. A definitive improvement from the crowded confines of Hell Square last year. As in years past, there will be entertainment, free food, giveaways, rides, raffles, etc.
National Night Out runs from 4pm to 9pm.
