The mystery of whether there would be yet another addition to the Ocean’s canon of heist films is now answered. There is an Ocean’s Eight on the way, if you can believe it; a spinoff of the original trilogy. And it’s filming in a large swath of Lower East Side territory today. Just check out the locations earmarked for production included on the flyers posted around.

Ocean’s Eight is a female-driven iteration of the franchise, and is heavy on the A-list talent. Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, and rapper Awkwafina are all confirmed, so keep an eye out for the stars walking along the Bowery today…

Hopefully the soundtrack to this one is kickass like some of the others.

Fridays Under $40: Three Meals in Chinatown

On Monday, when The New York Times reported on Chinatown’s outdoor dining scene, it was the first time I was happy to be scooped. The more we talk about Chinatown, the better. I live on Mulberry, just north of Canal and I’ve noticed it’s been slow to reopen compared to neighboring Little Italy and Noho […]
