Still no Cleanup a Month After City Bus Plowed through Allen Street Mall

It’s been a few days shy of a month since a southbound city bus barreled through the intersection of Allen and Canal Streets, seriously injuring a pedestrian. The other victim in that accident was the Allen Mall infrastructure – the steel fence and bench were equally mangled.
Since the crash, seemingly no attention has been paid to the aftermath. Except stringing some caution tape around the danger zone. Take a look.
Curb your surprise, though. The Allen Street Mall is no stranger to neglect, from defective benches to a decades-vacant bathhouse (that will finally be repurposed).
Meanwhile, the injured pedestrian was reportedly taken from the scene with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the FDNY.
