It Appears ‘Mazeish’ is Eyeing an Exit from Rivington Street
Mazeish Grill on Rivington Street is looking for a way out, it appears. Just over two years after opening in the former Pok Pok Phat Thai space, new real estate listings are surfacing.
The self-proclaimed “Persian Mediterranean grill,” which debuted in December 2014, is now on the market for $5,000 in rent, plus unspecified (yet negotiable) key money.
Because the store currently functions as an operational restaurant, says the listing, it makes for an “Easy Transition to New Ownership.”
The sublevel footprint at 137 Rivington Street has a history of ethnic cuisine. This was where chef-celebtriy Eddie Huang got his start in 2010 with the first iteration of Baohaus. Andy Ricker followed a year later with Pok Pok.
