At this ‘Chillhouse,’ Food and Beverage is Paired with Spa Services
Essex Street will soon swallow a chill pill. Chillhouse nears.
Six months in the making, the venture is a hybrid concept that pairs spa services with a small cafe menu. It’s already being hyped as the “modern path to total relaxation with style, character and ease.”
Chillhouse patrons can purchase Parlor Coffee, and an assortment of teas, beer, and wine, along with pastries from Maman cafe. There is also a ten-seat nail bar and an area for overpriced massage treatments.
Opening is on course for sometime later this month, and is likely tied to the approval of the Tavern Wine license (it’s still pending at the SLA).
Chillhouse, not to be confused with the legendary Chillmaster, was founded by Cyndi Ramirez (Taste the Style) and Den Hospitality.
