On a northbound J train Friday night, a group of straphangers went nuts on two fellow passengers, men aged 53 and 29, when one asked if they could move over to sit down.

Police said that one of the suspects became enraged and started arguing with the older victim just before he and his posse jumped the man. Punching and kicking. Another of the suspects furnished a hammer and pounded the 29-year-old man’s head.

The perps – believed to be in their 20s, fled the train at the Bowery station, and into the night. Not before fellow riders were able to snap photos of the men. They’re wanted for felony assault.
