Fresh off the Greenwich Village expansion, Goa Taco is poised to open a pop-up of sorts on Orchard Street. That explains why Norman’s Cay is down for the count, with paper window treatments. (Ryan Chadwick is proprietor of Norman’s Cay and co-owns Goa.)

We’re told that the fast-casual snack shop will open at 74 Orchard Street in the coming weeks, and likely spend a couple months on the block. Reason for the new digs – Goa’s popularity. They’ve apparently outgrown the Delancey spot, situated beside Chadwick’s Grey Lady.

“We are keeping the Delancey location open but we kind of grew out of the space so I figured we would try a bit larger location to see how it does,” Chadwick told us in an email.

As for Norman’s Cay, it’s seemingly on the back burner. Chadwick had been planning a remodel of the space anyway, and will likely revive the bar once the Goa Taco pop-up concludes. “We can bring it back after the pop up as I was planning on a remodel on the space anyway,” he explains.

Meanwhile, you’re probably wondering about the ceiling-hoisted Cessna. It’s apparently in storage for the time being.
